The power of faith in times of crisis

In the darkest moments of our lives, it is often there that faith takes on its full meaning. Not blind or naïve faith, but faith anchored in knowledge of God's character.

Faith does not eliminate trials

A common misconception among Christians is that faith automatically protects us from all difficulties. Yet Scripture shows us the opposite. Jesus himself said: "In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." (John 16:33)

"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." — Romans 8:38-39
